Talia Young is a poet and aspiring educator. She received the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award in 2013 for her work producing a series of spoken word workshops and culminating showcase for students from many San Francisco High Schools. She has been teaching poetry to middle school, high school and college students for the past four years. Talia represented Macalester College at the College National Poetry Slam in 2014 and 2015, ranking 5th in the nation in 2014. She has been featured on CBS radio for her work teaching slam poetry. This is her second year at Limmud and she looks forward to an amazing weekend of learning!
