In this lively conversation, the founders, leaders and educators from two local Jewish learning initiatives, Kevah and Sefaria, and two Israel-based organization, the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies and Kolot, will engage in a lively conversation about the role of limmud--Jewish learning--in Jewish communal life.  What historically has the role of Jewish learning been? For most mainstream synagogues, JCCs, federations, etc., what role does it play now?  How are each of these individuals and their respective organizations working to transform American and Israeli Jewish perspectives about the role of learning for its own sake?
