Zionism and Jewish Identity

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Are the Jews European colonists settling Palestinian Arab land or are they the indigenous people returning to their homeland, recapturing their culture and language and sense of self?  We shall be exploring these issues as well as the definition of indigenousness; the question of whether or not Palestine is a place or a culture; and how our identity as Jews as a people is different than Jews as adherents of a religious dogma and practice.   Finally, we shall discuss what we can do to define ourselves as Zionists for the 21st Century and how this defining effort can affect attempts at boycotting, divesting and sanctioning Israel.
