You come home from a long day at work. As you walk from your car down the path to your home you wave at two friends and stop for a quick chat. The kids are outside playing. Instead of scrambling to prepare dinner, you grab a beer and head out to the patio to unwind, knowing dinner will be served in the common house at 6pm.
This is not just a dream, but the reality of daily life in a cohousing community. The vision of the Berkeley Moshav is to create a vibrant cohousing intentional community that supports and encourages Jewish life. Our community nurtures residents' lives through daily social interaction, shared community responsibilities, spiritual expression, and a balance of communal and private living, in a physical environment of quality homes and extensive common facilities. The members of the Berkeley Moshav are deeply inspired by Jewish values and openly express those values in the physical, social and spiritual dimensions of our intentional community.
Join our session to find out more about this exciting project, and how Urban Moshav (
