The Murmur Beyond the Shore: Heschel, Shabbat, and Our Infinite Creativity

"Our mind is like a fantastic seashell," Heschel wrote. When we apply our ear to its lips, "we hear a perpetual murmur from the waves beyond the shore." In this hands-on workshop, we explore the connection between Shabbat and our inherent creativity by investingating some of Heschel's most beautiful writings. In this collaborative and creative journey, we'll stimulate our intellect by learning in hevrutah (pairs) then activate our imagination through a playful experience with found and natural objects. You'll come away refreshed, inspired, and equipped with new tools to sail the seas of the unknown. Perfect for those of all backgrounds and experience levels.
