Shabbat Plenary: Communal Beit Midrash

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

One of the thrills of Limmud is the unique opportunity to consume tons of learning in generous helpings. The intellectual banquet laid out before us is so overflowing with delights as to be almost overwhelming. In order to be able to maximize the potential of this experience, we will have to prime ourselves to be engaged and active learners. Our opening plenary will start us off strong by diving into a group conversation and text-study. With the help of Kevah, an organization that specializes in small-group learning, Limmud's traditional plenary format will be merged with a pop-up Beit Midrash (study hall). After an opening framing, we will all break off into individual tables and study the same text, prompted by accompanying questions, and then to return to the larger group to share reflections and insights. When we leave this session, we should feel energized and ready to take on the rest of the weekend!
This plenary will be hosted by Kevah and cosponsored by Sefaria, Pardes and Kolot.
